“And the Nominees Are!” – The St. Louis Film Critics Association announces their 2025 Film Nominations

Written by: Kirk Dulin
Organization: St. Louis Film Critics Association

Do you remember violently flipping through your high school yearbook each year to find the results of the Class Superlatives? That’s exactly what it’s like for movie critics when nominations roll in for the big awards shows. It triggers all the same feelings – anxiety, hopelessness, rejection, existential confusion, and, somehow, joy. It also might trigger a new haircut or a new college major.

Thankfully, the past year in film rendered rich and original stories reaching all across the globe.

As new members of the St. Louis Film Critics Association, Cam and I are PROUD to deliver the voting members’ 2025 nominations for excellence in film! Check out the list below, and be sure to follow the membership page on X (or the artist formerly known as Twitter) to receive continuous updates. Our official WINNERS will be announced later this month!

The list below has traditional categories AND unique awards (like “BEST SCENE”, SAG-adjacent award “BEST ENSEMBLE”, and more).

Get excited with us and join the conversation below in the comments or wherever you found this article!
